Computer System Requirements

The MySCC page has various help options for Moodle. At the beginning of most semesters this includes the Moodle Help Desk located in Dempsey Student Center. SCC also has year round support available through a ticket system at MySCC Help. 

NOTE: It is recommended you have the latest browser version that your device will allow. And the Internet Explorer browser is no longer supported.

How to Enable Cookies

Chrome

1. On your computer, open Chrome.
2. At the top right, click More  Settings.
3. Under “Privacy and security,” click Site settings.
4. Click Cookies and site data.
5. From here, you can:
   • Turn on cookies: Next to “Blocked,” turn on the switch.
   • Turn off cookies: Turn off Allow all cookies.

Firefox

1. Click on the Tools menu, then click Options.
2. Click on the Privacy Tab.
3. Select Use Custom Settings for History from the Firefox Will dropdown.
4. Check the Accept Cookies from Sites and Accept Third-Party Cookies check boxes.
5. Save changes by clicking OK.

Safari

1. From the Safari menu, click Preferences
   
2. On the Preferences toolbar, click to select Security
   
3. From the Security dialog box, under Accept Cookies, click to select Only from sites I navigate to
   
4. Click Close in the top left corner of the dialog box.

How to Disable Pop-ups

Chrome

1. Open Chrome and at the top right click the Menu bar tab.
2. Click Settings.
3. At the bottom, click Show advanced settings.
4. Under Privacy, click Content settings.
5. Under Pop-ups, leave Do not allow any site to show pop-ups selected.
6. Click Manage exceptions and add mrooms3.net to the list of exceptions.
7. Select Done, Done again and Close the tab.

Firefox

1. Click Firefox and chose Preferences.
2. Click the Content
3. Click the Exceptions button and add mrooms3.net to the list of exceptions.
4. Close the window.

Safari

1. Click Safari and chose Preferences.
2. Click the Security
3. Under Web content, uncheck Block pop-up windows.
