First Day Tips

First day jitters?  Check out these tips for your first day to make sure you’re ready for the semester!

Reminder: Your Moodle course will not be accessible until the first day (start date) of classes for that semester.

In order to access Moodle, you must have already created your account as a “First Time User“. Next, visit the MySCC page. Scroll down and select the “Moodle” option. Follow the login prompts using your Sandhills email and password you used to set up your Sandhills account.

Moodle To-Do List:

This is a requirement for ALL online courses.  It is accessible in each of your courses.

In the top block of your course, your instructor will typically include a course syllabus that contains information such as instructor information, grading policies, classroom location, relevant course materials, and more.

Although you can locate your instructor’s information within the syllabus, to quickly identify their information you can also extend out your block drawer on the right hand side of your course. For more information visit the  Locate Your Instructor page.
